Frank Hardy is a self-taught artist with a passion for life, music, all forms of art, and fitness. Hardy is also the author of the Fantasy Fiction book, Rise of The Emancipator (2017), and the African-American Historical Fiction book, The Dancer (2021). Frank invites people to view his bold, colorful paintings that often brush against the current and historic significance of civil rights, human rights and Black Americans’ contributions made to the nation.
This native son of Selma, Alabama values giving back to his community with sustained, active participation, especially in the lives of young people. Frank founded the iconic Selma Youth Development Center, where he taught art, dance and boxing to underprivileged youth for more than 20 years.
