Béatrice Augier: Guest photographer 2024

Béatrice Augier is French and lives in Deauville, a charming small town in Normandy with a stunning, wide beach of white sand. She had a long and prestigious career in communications, working for Yves Saint Laurent, Cartier, Dior, Publicis, and many others. One day, she decided to leave Paris and start a new life in Deauville, while still maintaining her habit of regularly traveling around the world.

She became a successful interior designer and began taking photographs, inspired by her daily walks on the beach. This beach, usually very “bourgeoise,” transforms during some exceptionally warm weekends in August into an extension of the Paris suburbs. Thousands of people from all walks of life come to enjoy swimming in the sea and sunbathing. The scene presents an image of reconciled humanity, peaceful and serene, with the shared goal of enjoying and sharing the same happiness. This is what she has sought to capture in her work.
