Call for SubmissionsPhotographic Nights of Selma is calling photographers interested in sharing work in the inaugural festival April 23 – 26, 2020. Photographs will be presented in an evening digital screening in an outdoor setting located near the famed Edmund Pettus Bridge, the site of the 1965 conflict of Bloody Sunday. Spaces will also be available for a limited number of artists to show framed work. In order to be accepted for the festival, the photographer must be present for the festival and handle their personal transportation to Alabama. Area residents will house photographers, or the artist can choose to manage their own lodging.For the evening screening, assistance will be provided for creating a video clip featuring up to 30 photos from a series, and a composer is available to create a soundtrack to accompany the images. Artists exhibiting framed work must have it delivered by 9 a.m. Wednesday April 22, 2020 and be prepared to assist with hanging.
