Biography:

Moses Samuel Adeleke, professionally known as MSA, is a Nigerian photographer and documentary filmmaker based in Abuja, Nigeria. His visual journey began in 2013, developing from a personal exploration of photography into a broader practice centred on documenting people, places, culture, and everyday life.

Working across documentary, portrait, travel, cultural, and commissioned photography, MSA's practice is rooted in observation and visual storytelling. He is particularly interested in gestures, expressions, environments, traditions, and moments that reveal something about the relationship between people and the worlds they inhabit.

His approach combines a documentary sensibility with a strong awareness of composition, light, colour, and atmosphere. Rather than simply recording events as they happen, he seeks to create images that preserve both the visible moment and the feeling surrounding it.

Alongside his personal photographic practice, MSA has worked extensively as a filmmaker and cinematographer, contributing to documentary and visual storytelling projects across different regions of Nigeria. His work has brought him into contact with a wide range of communities, landscapes, cultures, and human experiences, continually shaping the way he approaches photography.

At the centre of his practice is a desire to create an evolving visual archive of contemporary life, preserving people, places, traditions, and fleeting moments with honesty, dignity, and intention.
