Will Jacks (Grand Prize from the Jury 2022) plans to bring students from Troy University to the Selma Festival. He’ll have them work on projects based on the shared screening format each night. These will be intermediate students – they’ve all taken a course on the darkroom as well as a basic technical course on digital cameras, and beyond that will adopt more conceptual approaches. They will also learn how to combine still and moving images, as well as basic video editing techniques. The results of this work will be screened during the festival.
